Neighborhood Night Out BBQ is Tomorrow!

Who's ready for the big event on August 1st!? We can't wait!

We will have brats and hot dogs, potato salad, chips, and drinks, but please feel free to bring a side dish to share as well! Kona Ice will also be joining us from 6:30-7:30pm. The first 100 cones will be free and then only $5 each after that!

We will have two bounce houses - one of which will only be for the littles under 4. Please note that parent supervision is required for this event and during use of the bounce houses.

Any changes due to weather will be posted on the Facebook page “Bucking Horse Neighbors” first and then we will update the website (http://www.buckinghorseneighborhood.com/events/2023/7/16/nno) as soon as we can after that.

National Neighborhood Night Out

As part of a nationwide program, neighbors across Fort Collins celebrate Neighborhood Night Out by getting outside and connect with their community by hosting different kinds of neighborhood parties.

This year, Bucking Horse is getting together and having a big BBQ, with a bounce house, yard games, and fun! Each year, members of City Council, Fort Collins Police Services, Poudre Fire Authority, and City Staff try to stop by each neighborhood party to connect with neighbors and promote community and safety in our city.

We will be grilling up hot dogs and brats and we will have potato salad, chips, and drinks also provided. Please feel free to bring a side dish to share if you wish! Also, please bring your own lawn chair.

As always, parents must supervise their children at the event and when using the bounce house.

An Update on the New Park

The City of Fort Collins Park Planning & Development Division is excited to share several updates regarding the park near your neighborhood.

An official name for the park has been selected. To highlight the inter-connected recreational experiences included in the park design, the name of the park will be Dovetail Park.

Construction of Dovetail Park began in July 2022 and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023. Recently, a tower playground structure was installed at the park site. While families and neighbors are eager to explore these new park developments, please remember the area remains an active construction zone and is closed to the public. We appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe by remaining off the park site, and behind construction fencing, for the full duration of the project.

For more information regarding Dovetail Park, please visit fcgov.com/parkplanning. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jennifer Torrey at jtorrey@fcgov.com.
